Tree Felling

Probably the most cost effective method of tree removal, felling means cutting a tree at ground level. The tree can then be cut, chipped and removed.

Dismantling

Sometimes felling is not possible due to a lack of space or obstacles underneath. It is possible to dismantle the tree in sections, using different methods including various rigging/zip-lining techniques, and the use of mobile cranes.

Reductions

Where removal is not necessary, a tree can be reduced to great benefit. Increased light, opening up views and general health can be achieved through combinations of crown reduction/thinning, the removal of deadwood and canopy raising.

Re-shaping

On occasion when a tree has become particularly unruly it may require a more sever prune or ‘reshape’. This can mean removing large overweight lateral limbs, rebalancing or pollarding.

Woodland Management

Good maintenance of woodland areas is important in preserving valuable specimens and opening up the usage of the land. This would normally involve the removal of invasive species and trees of poor health.

Hedge Trimming

In order to maintain hedges to ensure even dense foliage and growth health, they should be trimmed 1-2 times per year.

Stump Removal

If required, once a tree has been removed, the stump can be ‘ground out’. Once this has been carried out lawns can be reinstated or re-planting can take place.
